Carol Lake Metal Works is looking to add a Loader Operator to their team. A key member of the support team, the Loader Operator is responsible for completing tasks such as snow clearing, unloading freight, loading heavy equipment onto trailers and flatbeds, preparing orders by processing requests and supply orders, and other duties as required. The Loader Operator will work in accordance with the safety processes and procedures related to Carol Lake Metal Works while ensuring a work quality that is in alignment with overall business goals. The successful applicant will provide exceptional operational experience to all of the CLMW team and will play a very important role in the day-to-day operations of the support team.
The successful candidate will be expected to work a Monday to Friday schedule, with the requirement of some weekends with provided notice. This position can be offered at part time/ full time hours.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare outgoing shipments
· Receive incoming shipments
· Load/Unloading trucks
· Store materials in the appropriate places
· Track inventory
· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
· Transport heavy equipment by operating a tractor and lowboy/high-bed trailers
· Load equipment on and off of the low bed truck and following site safety rules and regulations
· Ensure loads are secure by utilizing chains, tarps, as required
· General maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle as required – daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks
· Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
Requirements:
· Must hold a High School Diploma
· Valid Class 1, 5 & 8 Drivers License is a requirement
· Must have strong work ethics
· Able to work in a team environment
· Must have strong communication skills
· Must be flexible to work on various projects and tasks
· Attention to detail is required
· Knowledge of all occupational hazards (Safety) is considered an asset
· Required to complete drug testing required for all site access
