The Outside Sales Representative at CLMW is critical in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence primarily within the heavy equipment mining sector. This position focuses on the sales of ground engaging tools (GET), cutting edges, crushing/material processing, structural steel, and other wear items tailored for the needs of the mining industry. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in heavy equipment sales, outstanding communication skills, and a proactive approach to building and maintaining client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve defined revenue targets and sales quotas in the Labrador and Quebec region.
  • Identify and engage potential clients focusing on the heavy equipment mining sector through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends and opportunities related to GET, cutting edges, and mining accessories.
  • Inspect products in the field to evaluate their lifespan and performance, providing clients with detailed reports aimed at optimizing product use and results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and product offerings.
  • Provide exemplary customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions within the ERP system.
  • This position is open to candidates from outside the region, and CLMW provides fly-in and out options to facilitate travel for work purposes.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in outside sales, specifically in heavy equipment sales.
  • Strong understanding of GET, cutting edges, structural steel, and other wear items relevant to the heavy equipment mining sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving customer acquisitions.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach; experience in building and leading sales teams is a plus.
